A Men’s Group Community Connections meeting is taking place at East Park Pavilion on Quarry Drive in Petoskey from 6-8pm on Tuesday, June 6. It is an opportunity to connect with other local men who are interested in creating safe and thriving communities.
We will continue conversations about community and men’s role in preventing gender-based violence. At the previous meeting, members suggested that community comes together over food, so this time we will be grilling to help bring that sense of community to the meeting.
Discussion is free-flowing, but may include how we can:
- make a positive difference in our own communities of influence;
- role model essential characteristics of empathy, kindness, respect and compassion;
- strengthen our community and build individual and family resilience; and
- innovative ways to support all people in realizing their full potential.
New members are welcome!
