Oleson’s Food Stores in Petoskey and Charlevoix are hosting a Dollar Drive fundraiser to support Safe Home services November 12 through Thanksgiving.
Shoppers can choose to donate a dollar at checkout to support families seeking refuge from domestic abuse at Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan's Safe Home. Dollars raised help shelter staff purchase fresh food items and fulfill current Safe Home needs. The Oleson Foundation will match the first $1,000 raised.
The Safe Home is staffed and operated 24/7 and provides support, shelter, meals, and daily necessities to survivors in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, and Otsego counties at no cost.
Oleson’s is at 2000 US-31 North in Petoskey, and 112 Antrim Street in Charlevoix.
