Northern Michigan Master Gardener Association hosts its Spring Plant Sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the T-Barn at the Emmet County Fairgrounds in Petoskey. Locally grown perennials, herbs, ground covers, shrubs, and houseplants will be available at bargain prices. All plants have been state inspected and certified. Informational tables hosted by area organizations will offer shoppers an opportunity to increase their knowledge in Smart Gardening, native plants, conservation, invasive species, the MSU Master Gardener Program, and more. A garden marketplace will offer everything from books and magazines, to tools, pots and planters, bird houses and garden art.
