On Saturday, January 14th, beginning at 11:00 AM, the Charlevoix County Parks Department will be kicking off its 2023 Whiting Park Centennial calendar of events with “Raptor Rapture”, a program featuring several live birds of prey from the North Sky Raptor Sanctuary in Interlochen, Michigan. This event will run approximately one and a half hours and will take place indoors in the Events (green) Building at Whiting Park adjacent to the Park Office Building and Log Cabin. After the program, all attendees are invited to hike Whiting Park’s Storybook Trail which currently displays the book Owl Moon.
This event is free and open to bird lovers of all ages.
Whiting Park is located at 5820 Lake Shore Road between Advance and the Ironton Ferry.
