Bear River Health (BRH) is a private, for profit organization that was established in 2006 and moved to its current location and expanded services in 2014 to meet the needs of the community and help those who suffer from substance use. The mission of Bear River Health at Walloon Lake is to provide high quality and innovative addiction recovery services to our clients and the community. BRH strives to be the leading expert in treating addiction and mental health disorders in a diverse and cross-cultural setting leading to the promotion of wellness through ongoing sobriety. BRH has earned The Joint Commission accreditation for quality healthcare delivery.

Residential campuses are located in Walloon Lake, Boyne Falls and Gaylord. Outpatient facilities are located in Gaylord, Harbor Springs, and Cheboygan. Residential campuses are closed to the public.
