At American Waste we strive to offer our customers the services they expect. We have proudly been serving Northern Michigan for more than 20 years. As we continue to serve the area we just want to say thank you to our valued customers. Did you know..... All waste picked up in Charlevoix County is hauled to our Solid Waste Processing Facility located in Kalkaska, Michigan, for recovery of the recycled material. On a daily basis, we recover and recycle several hundred yards of material being disposed of. The material recovered is as follows: cardboard, all types of wood products, all metals, concrete, drywall, paper and plastic. Once recovered and sorted, we then transfer the recovered material to various users within Michigan. Currently, we recover several thousand yards of recycled material on an annual basis.
